Here I present my monotype woodcuts. I use engraved wood plates, shaped and rusted iron pieces, ropes, and various objects to create impressions, traces, and reliefs. Handmade paper is crafted specifically for each artwork, with textures and compositions tailored to complement the image it will host, becoming an integral part of the artwork itself.

The inking process involves a palette of printing inks, oil paints, and pastels. Collages of fabric and gold leaf are incorporated at this stage, before the final printing with the engraving press. Some artworks are printed using an ancient Chinese technique, where the paper pulp is spread over the inked plate and left to dry directly, resulting in pronounced reliefs and well-defined marks.

The themes explore the idea of apparition, the moment when intuition surfaces into consciousness and comes to life, and the transformation of objects into symbols. The underlying poetic essence always revolves around the alchemical process, where the invisible becomes visible.
